Day seven

Not the best picture, but the following picture shows a couple of the boys.

On the topic of puppy sounds–there are lots of vocalizations puppies this age make.  We hear sounds coming from the whelping box much of the time. I’m going to try to make little sound files to link to the following list (though honestly it might be a bit ambitious). We hear sounds like:

• Birds chirping/twittering
• Monkey sounds (lots of monkey sounds)
• The occasional ‘moo’
• Shrieks and screams (especially when hungry and trying to find mom)
• soft mewling
• cooing (like human babies)
• little barks
• sobbing (especially when mom is cleaning them, which they don’t like at all!)
