Fun Match

Today was the annual Summer Fun Match for NORCAL GRC, held at the beautiful Kirigin Cellars winery in Gilroy.   Sport was entered in Novice A obedience and Rally Novice.  Cooper and Lola were also entered in Rally Novice.  We had a good time and did reasonably well, with the exception of Sport not taking the long sits and downs exercise seriously, and even barking at me during the down exercise.

We had a real treat because all the Sport-Travis boys spent the morning at the match!   I posted a picture of the three of them in the Gallery.  They also got a chance to run through the Rally Novice ring, and did amazingly well for 15 1/2 week old puppies.  🙂  [had to throw in a proud “grandma” brag there] Obviously everyone has been training!

After the match was over, those that stayed to clean up had the grounds all to ourselves, and the field was filled with beautiful Goldens (and the resident Border Collie) romping and playing together.  Of course Sport didn’t stop the entire time, and this is what happened when she discovered the pile of ice that had been emptied from a few coolers:

It was a good day!  Tomorrow… an agility trial!
