We are excited to announce a special breeding of Pomo to Jolly, a lovely young UK-bred field dog in Germany.
The puppies were whelped on Aug 25, 2020 – 5 girls and 1 boy.

From his owner Petra: “Jolly is everyone’s best friend and a very balanced biddable retriever. He really has the sweetest character I have ever met in a Golden. He’s happy with everything, playful and sensible without being soft. He is very confident and has no dominance towards people or other dogs.
Jolly has a wonderful temperament and at home he’s a joy to live with. He lives with three other males and our daughter in the house. Outside he’s not interested in other dogs because of his work ethic, it’s much more important for him to work with his humans. He learns very quickly and works efficiently, very fast and very stylish. In the field he’s focused with amazing game finding ability.
Right from the start he showed stable calmness when retrieving / picking up at tests and trials. At the age of two he passed his first Field Trial with “excellent” and the 4th place. Jolly is biddable, honest and very eager to please. He works well in all grounds and loves water. It’s always a pleasure to work with him, training or at tests.”

“Very friendly male with with lively temperament, good size, typical head and expression, dark eyes, flowing length of neck and shoulder, strong outline, excellent lay back of shoulder and good upper arm, well spring of ribs and deep chest, excellent angulated in hindquarters, correct bone, nice coat and condition, moves parallel and with drive, very well presented!”
Trials/Tests: Character test (WT), JPR (cold game test for young dogs), BLP (open level cold game hunting tests), 800 meters tracking, Working tests novice, Cold Game test novice, Novice FT with excellent.
Jolly is ~23 inches at the withers, and weighs 63 lbs. He does not have allergies or skin issues. His puppies thus far seem to have his lovely character, and overall excellent orthopedics as well.

More about Pomo (aka Mo, Mighty Mo)
Pomo is a granddaughter of our foundation bitch Sport, and our Ronan‘s daughter. She is a very athletic dog in hard-working condition, with correct, balanced structure, good angulation, a strong rear, and free, ground-covering movement. She has a beautiful natural prance doing obedience heeling. She has a dark eye with a soft expression, and a lovely length of neck that blends nicely into her shoulders.
She is always happy and enthusiastic, and one of her favorite tricks is bouncing vertically for her bumper on all four feet! Pomo is very fun to train; an incredibly quick learner, she often learns skills in just one or two repetitions. She loves to retrieve, swim, and hunt for gophers. She is just starting to train for agility, and is an excellent jumper, speedy on the course, and showing great potential for distance handling!
Pomo is 22.5 inches at the withers, and weighs 63 lbs. She does not have allergies or skin issues.
Pomo has some very nice dogs behind her, with good health, temperament, trainability, and longevity throughout the pedigree on both sides. She has several GRCA Outstanding Sires and Dams in her pedigree such as Finnegan, Yogi, Strider, Sport, BJ, and dogs from the Smithaven and Hunts kennels.
Mo is co-owned with our good friend Suzanne Bria, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to have a litter from her.
