Litter theme – Famous Jingles/Slogans
I’m sure it’s not limited to Golden Retrievers, but a given litter of puppies is often assigned a theme by the breeder. All the AKC-registered names for the pups would follow this naming convention, and the idea is to be able to tie each of the pups to their given litter just by viewing their registered names. It serves a useful purpose and can be fun, too.
This litter’s theme is ‘Famous Jingles/Slogans’. I picked it because I often feel like the product of a marketing generation, and perhaps too often have found myself with catchy commercial jingles running through my brain (sad but true). I haven’t seen this theme done before, so thought it could be great fun.
I’ve put together a web page with a whole bunch of possible names, and welcome any contributions! For those that are getting a puppy from this litter, feel free to pick one or come up with your own, and if there’s one you want to use let me know so I can mark it.
As a teaser, my favorite name so far is ‘Tigana’s Sometimes U Feel Like A Nut’ with the puppy’s name being “Joy” (from an Almond Joy/Mounds commercial). It makes me laugh! (There are more classy possibilities for those that are feeling concerned. 😉 )
