Artisan Beer puppies – 7th week recap

The last week was a whirlwind of activity.   The puppies all checked out at their 7.5 week vet visit, all weighing in between 14.5-16 lbs.   They got more car rides, visits, were introduced to crates,  etc.

On Friday they had their performance/temperament test, where each puppy was tested by our friend Terry Southard using the Sheila Booth Positive Puppy preview test.  We also added the ‘rake’ test from the old Guide Dogs testing.   The test takes about 30 minutes per puppy, and is meant to reveal what the natural behavior of each puppy is under different circumstances, when faced with a new person in a new environment.   I was very pleased with how the puppies tested, as they all showed themselves to be confident puppies with great performance potential.

Here are some pictures from week 7.

Several of them playing with the  homemade obstacle.  They love scaling it and falling over the other side.

Awww – read both posts and they are wonderful! Love the “show” stance of the puppies! Avalon is amazing and doing just wonderfully – I am just amazed, because we expected wake-ups at all hours of the night, but Avalon has two straight sleep-throughs – we are soooo delighted – she loves Samantha too! And incredibly, Sammie is so interested in her and plays with Avalon! We are just so happy with this terrific and funny girl!
