Day nine

The pups got their nails trimmed today, using a small pair of human nail clippers.  A few of them are starting to try getting their hind legs under them to walk, but the strength in their legs is not there yet.   Up to this point they have been dragging themselves around, reminiscent of a seal, except they do propel with the hind legs as well.

Here’s Ms. Pink this morning (formerly Ms. Yellow ribbon).   Notice her eyes are not completely shut:

Their collars are now off, and I’ve marked them with melted crayon.  The girls have a wax blotch on their withers, and the boys have it on the rump.  Here are the new mappings:

girls:

purple collar => purple
yellow collar => pink
no collar => green

boys:

no collar => blue
red/orange collar => red
black/dark blue collar => black
