Litter Theme

I think we can all agree that 2020 has been a rough year, and we can all use a little comfort. So this litter will have the theme ‘Comfort Food’.

For those that aren’t familiar with litter themes, it mostly has to do with the dog’s formal name that is registered with AKC. The puppies from this litter will have registered names that have to do with comfort food, though their ‘call name’ (their everyday name) can be anything.

It’s fun when the call name relates to the registered name in some way.

Here are some example comfort food names, and Tigana (or Tigana’s) would be the first word in the name. The call name is in quotes.

Tigana’s Mac ‘n Cheese – “Mac”
Tigana’s Pizza My Heart – “Pizza” or “Roni”
Tigana’s Old Fashioned – “Donut”

I googled ‘comfort foods around the world’ and came up with some really interesting food and recipes. It would be really fun to find out what everyone’s comfort foods are, and even share recipes! When I think about my own comfort food, I think of Taiwanese Hot Pot or Japanese Shabu Shabu (these are Asian-style broth fondue). Another is spicy beef stew noodle soup, and other various savory soups. My husband Don thinks of mac and cheese. Others I’ve asked think of various chocolates or cheese dishes, and breads.
