New accomplishments

Last week I belatedly realized that Sport qualified for the GRCA Versatility Certificate, making her a VC!   She earned it a year ago.   To qualify for a VC, a Golden must earn titles in 3 major categories and qualify according to the points schedule on the GRCA web site.  The categories are Field, Performance, and Conformation.   Sport qualified with her JH (field), RN and OAJ (performance), and AKC breed ring points (conformation).

Today we returned to the agility ring for the first time in a year, and Sport finished her Open Standard (OA) and Novice FAST (NF) titles.  She also earned her first leg toward her Excellent Jumpers, all with placements.   Just for fun, I also put Lola into Novice Jumpers Preferred, since she has been retired from the agility ring for several years after finishing her AX/AXJ and USDAA Advanced Agility Dog titles.  She qualified with a 2nd place, and had great fun in the ring!

A belated brag and congratulations for Pat and Danica (Tigana Calliope Drive Your Dreams) from the Famous Jingles litter.  Dani finished her NAP and NJP titles a couple months ago, and earned a few more legs at the National just for good measure.   She also earned her WC (field working certificate) at the National.  What a girl!   Here’s a photo of Dani coming back from her memory mark, with TWO rooster pheasants.  The gunners had left a bird out in their station, which Dani picked up along with the memory bird, and brought them both in.  🙂   (I particularly enjoy seeing her lovely movement in this photo!).

Meigs and River (Tigana’s Land of Sky Blue Waters) from the Famous Jingles litter also started competing in Rally Novice.   River recently earned his first two legs, with scores of 99 and 1st and 2nd placements.   Yay for Meigs and River!  Nicely done.
