Tired mom
The puppies spent most of the day sleeping, eating, and growing, but every time they wake up their eyes are a little bigger. Our house sounded like a jungle for part of the day with all sorts of throaty trills, monkey sounds, cooing, and screaming coming from the box.
They are in a funny stage right now where they look in the direction they want to go (like toward Sporty), but their body takes them the complete opposite direction. That usually results in a lot of frustrated screaming. Eventually they get where they want to go.
Here are a couple of photos of the hard-working momma Sport and her babies.
The puppy on the chicken below is Purple boy. The one in front of the chicken is “no-collar” boy as he is the lightest in color… though he is currently wearing a green collar because I wanted to use it!

They look a little different each day! Sounds truly like there must be a jungle there – how frustrating to not be able to control a body in the way it wants to – poor dears! Sporty looks relaxed…tired? Such big puppies, especially the one in front of the chicken – wow!

Hi Miche, I just updated the post to identify the big fat puppy in front of the chicken. It’s a boy, though believe it or not he is not currently the biggest. As of this morning his brother Blue boy has him beat by an ounce. 🙂
So glad Sporty is able to get her beauty rest.
Clearly a gorgeous litter and so smart to find their way to their toys, each other and mom. Hope you are resting up for when they really find their legs!
